Why Can’t I Get That 6 Pack I Work So Hard For?

Ever feel like you are doing endless abs, but not seeing that 6 pack?  The truth is, you may have a great 6 pack, but it is hidden by excess body fat.

In order for a man to start seeing his 6 pack, his body fat percentage may need to be as low as 10-12%.  If he wants to see his entire abdominal area show, even the ones down low, he may have to get his body fat percentage down to about 6-7%.

A woman may have to drop her body fat percentage to about 16-19% or lower in order to see her abs. A woman’s body fat percentage is expected to be higher than a man’s as the women’s body is designed to support a baby during pregnancy and breast feeding.

Ok, great, but how can you reduce your body fat? It is simply a balance of your cardiovascular activity, your strength training, and your nutrition.  I recommend 20 minutes of rigorous cardiovascular activity, prior to lifting for about an hour, 3 times a week.  I also recommend a balance of your nutrition, which translates to a 40%/40%/20% split of your protein, carbohydrates, and fat respectively.  It is also important that you consume the proper amount of calories to support a weight loss program.

If you are looking to see what you have worked so far for, it is time you take your program to the next level!  Get your body fat percentage down and let that 6 pack pop!
